Lori Thompson, RN is the founder of Inner Equine Journeys Growth and Development Center
She is a Registered Nurse and has been practicing in the area of Mental Health for 20 years.
She has added Education in Forensics, Animal Assisted Therapy, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy through EAGALA, Equine Assisted Personal Development through the Chris Irwin Institute of Equine Arts and Equine Facilitated Mental Health through CANTRA.

Lori has 20 years of horse experience both as a horse owner and as a volunteer in Equine Rescue and Therapeutic Riding Programs.

Lori has studied a number of Horse Training methodologies and believes that all are valuable and bring much to our ability to communicate with horses.
Lori strives to continue to learn and become a better communicator with her horses. 

The program's groundwork and exercises are based on Chris Irwin's Training methodology and his excellent ground breaking work with Equine Communication.   

Dolores Dercach
Dolores Dercach has been employed as a Recreation Therapist since 1972.  For over 30 years, she has worked with the Calgary Health Region on an in-patient mental health unit and with an out-patient mental health rehab program.  Dolores was instrumental in developing the CHR's first-ever "Adventure Therapy Program for Women With Depression" and was a lead therapist with the in-patient Cognitive Behavioural Therapy program.  She also co-developed the In-Patient Adventure Therapy program, which is comprised of sailing, climbing, hiking and equestrian components, and continues to be an integral member of the mental health team despite her recent retirement.

Kari Fulmek
Kari has excelled in a variety of positions from being a top ranked sales manager for Weekenders, to motivational speaking, to managing the Strathmore Heritage Days for the past 7 years. But even with all other past experiences, Kari believes her greatest achievement to be her three beautiful daughters who she raises with her husband Sid on an acreage near Strathmore. Kari has a passion for helping others and lives her life with class and the ability to laugh at herself... after all laughter is the best medicine!
Marcy Field
As a speaker and facilitator, Marcy Field helps others experience the joy in life whether at work or at play by encouraging them to always be and give their best. Marcy started her business, Mountain Lion Leadership Inc., in 2003. Her clients have been from the retail, manufacturing, utilities and oil and gas sectors.  Marcy has provided services to numerous provincial government departments. She is actively involved in her community working to assist businesses in their growth and development.  Marcy is passionate about seeing opportunities created for personal and professional development for women in all areas and stages of life.

Marcy serves as a Board member with The Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce and Wheatland Business Women.  She is currently developing corporate leadership, team and communication workshops. Marcy has partnered with Lori Thomspon, Inner Equine Journeys, and they recently launched their Mother/Daughter Journeys workshops.

She is married with four adult children in their blended family, who have enlarged her life with four distinctively individual grandsons. A motorcycle enthusiast, active gardener, and avid traveller, Marcy enjoys all the special moments that life brings.
